In these hard economic times, many people are trying to come up with cheaper ways of doing things. For about the past year and a half or so, my family and I have been making our own liquid laundry soap. It is very easy to make and 1 five gallon bucket will last a long time depending on how much laundry you do. Items you need: 5 gallon bucket 1-2 cups of Borax 1-2 cups of Washing Soda 1 bar of soap. (Fels Naptha, Zote, Ivory) Grater or old food processer Another container to put some soap in in you dont want to dip out of bucket The soap takes about 30-45 minutes to make from start to finish.
